Every one of us has an important part to play in the recovery and rebuild of Christchurch. Tonight we will hear from some of the women who have a role in the city’s rebuild, but we also want to hear from you! Come along to this informal meeting which focuses on the rebuild of Christchurch from a women’s perspective. There will be an open microphone available but please let me know if you would like to sign up for our soapbox, have your say and share your idea’s.
SPEAKERS:
Di Lucas, Landscape Architect and Director of Lucas Associates Ltd, Christchurch. Di works in community-friendly planning and design processes for creative and sustainable solutions. Having skills in landscape assessment, landscape ecology and restoration, natural character analysis, community consultation, heritage values, sustainable resource management, creative problem solving and documentation, Di works on a range of projects around Aotearoa New Zealand.
Jane Parfitt is the General Manager, City Environment Group at the Christchurch City Council. Jane is responsible for maintaining the safety and quality of the infrastructure services of the city with a view to long-term sustainability. Maintenance and development of parks and gardens of the City and Civil Defence Emergency Management on behalf of the city.
Sacha McMeeking is the General Manager of Strategy and Influence, at Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu. She holds key responsibilities for external relations, brand and reputation management, and engagement with central Government. Recently, she has contributed to iwi capability development in infrastructure investment, inter-iwi collaboration in commercial and broader respects, iwi engagement with the ETS and a range tribally focused projects.
