Local hair salon top in NZ

Hair Art and Beauty in Cranford Street can claim to be the top New Zealand salon after winning the New Zealand Salon of the Year award, as part of the Kitomba NZARH Business Awards 2013 held recently in Auckland.

This is the first year a Christchurch salon has won this award.

Entering entails a lot of hard work but is a good opportunity to review business practices and identify areas of strength and challenges, director Carla Thompson says. The award shows that the salon demonstrates strong business acumen and leadership within the industry.

Carla says Hair Art and Beauty will not be entering next year’s awards but plans to focus on training HITO apprentices and helping individual stylists and trainers to enter awards.
